Howard Stevens – Chairman

Professor Howard Stevens is a founder of both Bio-Images Research and Drug Delivery International and chairs the board of the Group. He is a world renowned scientist with a long and impressive track record of turning leading edge science into commercially profitable ventures. His career spans four decades of management in industrial research and development in the UK and Europe in large multinationals and small drug delivery companies.  He has been involved in the formation of several successful spin-out businesses and served as the Pfizer Professor of Drug Delivery at the University of Strathclyde from 1998-2009.

Ian Stillie – Deputy Chairman

Ian Stillie is a recognised serial entrepreneur who operates at senior board level for numerous successful companies and has been involved in the formation and operation of 14 directly owned companies. His specialist skills involve the development of national and international operations with targeted growth in terms of acquisitions and customer focused operations. He has a strong history in turnaround operations in multi-faceted industrial environments. He has strong financial, operational, sales and marketing skills and the entrepreneurial drive to build and grow organisations, as well as an extensive network of contacts in all areas of business, sport and public sector community. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a member of the Institute of Energy

Colette Brown – Company Secretary and Finance Manager

The company’s financial management is led by Colette Brown a Chartered Accountant by profession who has worked in a variety of turnaround situations, leading companies through multiple fund raising strategies to accessing new investors. Her key skills are operating at the frontline of company activity, managing the most difficult resource in any company – cash, whilst also working at an operational level throughout the whole business. Educated at Dundee University, Colette spent eight years in all facets of accountancy before entering into industry, where she has held positions in a variety of private equity led organisations. Her major strength is communicating succinctly and directly with investors and company boards the financial positions of companies good and bad, whilst also finding innovative solutions.
